Kacha golla Sandesh

Ingredients to make Kacha golla Sandesh

  • 1 Cup Fresh Chhana/Chenna(Cottage Cheese)
  • 1/2 Cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp unsweetened condensed milk
  • 1 /2 tsp ghee
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • Cashew and pistachio powder for garnishing

How to make Kacha golla Sandesh

  1. Add the Chenna and sugar in a food processor. Pulse 3-4 times. OR Place the Chenna and sugar on a wooden board, coarsely mash them by hand and transfer into a bowl.
  2. Add ghee in a preheated heavy-bottomed or non-stick pan, over medium heat. When the ghee melts, add mashed Chenna and cook for a few seconds or until the sugar releases water from the mixture.
  3. Add condensed milk, cardamom powder and cook for 2 minutes, or until the mixture no longer sits at the bottom of the pan. Transfer the mixture into a bowl.
  4. When the mixture is luke-warm to touch, form little balls using your hand.
  5. Sprinkle Cashew and Pistachio powder over the balls. Serve and Enjoy!!!
My Tip: Note: If we include making the Chenna/ Cottage Cheese, then cooking time will be 35 minutes.
