#Methi dhebra

Ingredients to make #Methi dhebra

  • bajra flour 1 cup
  • Whole Wheat flour 1 cup
  • semolina 1/4 cup
  • methi leaves 1 cup
  • Sour curd 1/2 cup
  • salt 1 tesp
  • red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tesp
  • cumin Seeds 1 tesp
  • sesame seeds 1 tesp
  • Chopped green chilies 1 tesp
  • Grated ginger 1 tbsp
  • water as needed
  • oil for Deep frying

How to make #Methi dhebra

  1. In a mixing bowl mix all the ingredients well except oil.
  2. Knead into a tight dough using water as needed. Add little water at a time.
  3. Rest the dough for 30 minutes.
  4. Pinch 1+1/2 inches balls from the dough. Makes around 25 balls.
  5. Heat oil in a wok.
  6. Roll each ball into a flat disc of around 3 inches using a rolling pin dusting with dry flour.
  7. Place in hot oil carefully. Help it to puff by pressing gently with frying spoon.
  8. Fry crisp and golden from both sides.
  9. Remove to kitchen towel and serve with tangy potato curry.

My Tip:

This can be pan fried into chappatis too.
