Paalak and Methi Missi Roti..

Ingredients to make Paalak and Methi Missi Roti..

  • Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  • gram flour or besan 1/2 cup
  • Oil or ghee 2 tbsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • red chilli flakes 1 tsp
  • Carom seeds 1/2 tsp
  • coriander leaves or parsley chopped a handful
  • turmeric a pinch
  • water as needed

How to make Paalak and Methi Missi Roti..

  1. Make a smooth dough with all the ingredients using water. Leave it aside for 30 mins.
  2. The dough will look like this. Make medium balls out of it and start rolling after 30 mins.
  3. Cook them using ghee or oil on medium to low flame by flipping over when done on one side. Both the sides should be well cooked.
  4. Make all rotis in this way. Serve them hot with a dollop of butter and some raita.

My Tip:

Green chillies also can be used in place of chilli flakes. And also can use all purpose flour in the place of wheat flour or even both along with gram flour. I used only whole wheat flour with gram flour. I added greens to make it more healthy for the kids and adults alike.
