Ingredients to make Homemade Chenna Murki

  • Paneer store bought) - 250 gram cut into small cubes
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Milk 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Icing sugar 4 tbsp heaped or as needed for coating chenna murki

How to make Homemade Chenna Murki

  1. In a heavy bottom kadai add sugar and water. Heat it on high flame till sugar dissolves completely. Boil it until syrup reaches one string consistency.
  2. Now lower the heat and add milk. Again bring it to boil. Scum will appear on top of syrup collect it with ladle and discard it.
  3. Now add paneer cubes and essence and mix till syrup coats all the paneer cubes properly. Keep on mixing when syrup is almost dry. Switch off the heat
  4. When paneer cubes are still wet add icing sugar and mix well.
  5. Now cover it and keep it in fridge.
  6. Chenna Murki is ready to eat.
