A very simple yet tasty recipe. Delicious kadi made out of moong dal which comes out very light

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Moong dal 1 cup ( soaked for 2 hours)
  2. Dahi 1.5 cup
  3. Besan 2 tsp
  4. Ginger 1" piece crushed
  5. Green chilli 1(finely chopped)
  6. Salt 1.5 tsp+1/2 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Dhania powder 1/2tsp
  10. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  11. Coriander seeds whole 1/2 tsp
  12. jeera 1/2 tsp
  13. Heeng. 1/4 tsp
  14. Methi dana 1/4 tsp
  15. Mustard oil 2tbsp
  16. For tempering
  17. 1 tbsp ghee
  18. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  19. Whole red chill. 2
  20. Coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions

  1. Take all the required ingredients at the kitchen counter
  2. Make a coarse paste of dal.divide the paste into two parts. Take one and add dahi and besan and mix well keep it aside
  3. Heat oil in a pan
  4. Take rest of the dal add salt and make pakoras out of it on medium heat
  5. In same oil add coriander seeds,jeers,methi dana and heeng.let it crackle add ginger green chilli, chilli powder turmeric garam Masala, dhania powder immediately add the dahi mix and two cup of water
  6. Add salt and bring it to boil continuaselly stirring it
  7. Cook on medium low till the kadi consistency. Add pakoras and cook for another 5 minutes
  8. Make a tempering and pour on prepared kadi
  9. Enjoy with steamed rice
