Dhokle (Sweetcorn and Pea Stuffed)

Ingredients to make Dhokle (Sweetcorn and Pea Stuffed)

  • Semolina (suji) 1cup
  • Rice flour 1/2cup
  • Gram flour (besan) 1/2cup
  • Pea 1/2 cup
  • Sweetcorn 1/2cup
  • Turmeric 2tbsp
  • baking soda 1tbsp
  • Green coriander leaves 1/4cup
  • Eno 1pouch
  • Lemon 1/2slice
  • Salt to taste
  • For tempering
  • Oil 2tbsp
  • Asafoetida (hing) a pinch
  • Cumin seeds 2tbsp
  • Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves 10 leaves
  • sugar 1tbsp
  • Salt to taste

How to make Dhokle (Sweetcorn and Pea Stuffed)

  1. In a bowl take rice flour, gram flour and semolina
  2. Add coriander leaves, sweetcorn, pea salt, baking soda and lemon
  3. Mix it well leave for 5 minutes. Now add ENO powder and whisk it into a smooth paste
  4. Fill it in a greased plate and put in dhokla maker in a sim mode for 15 minutes
  5. Turn off the flame wait for 5 minutes and make pieces
  6. For tempering: Heat oil in a pan add cumin, mustard seeds and when crackling stops add hing, curry leaves again when crackle sound stops add sugar ,salt and 4tbsp water. Spread it evenly on dhokla It's ready to eat
