Semolina Chocolate Idli

Ingredients to make Semolina Chocolate Idli

  • semolina 2 cups
  • curd 1cup
  • powdered sugar 1cup
  • cocoa powder 1cup
  • baking powder 1-1/2 teaspoon
  • vanilla essence 6-8 drops
  • dark chocolate 1portion of packet
  • coloured gems/chocochips for garnishing
  • milk 1/2cup

How to make Semolina Chocolate Idli

  1. Take a bowl add semolina, curd, sugar, cocoa powder, milk...make a smooth paste...mix well and keep aside for an hour or two. .....then again mix well and add baking powder and vanilla essence give a mix....your batter is ready
  2. Then grease idli moulds with a drop of oil and pour batter in it......steam the idlis in steamer for about 10-15 minutes....take them out and do a toothpick check.....allow the idlis to cool down.....and like this ready your other batches.
  3. Then take another bowl and add dark chocolate pieces.....microwave it for a minute and stir....then again mucro for 30 seconds and stir the melted chocolate. ...let it cool for a minute or two. .
  4. Then a take cooled idli and dip it into the chocolate sauce.....keep the idli on a grilled stand so that extra sauce is dripped. ......
  5. Garnish your idli with gems or chocochips and refrigate for 10 minutes....and yum yum its ready to eat.

My Tip:

Let your idlis cool down completely
