Ingredients to make Curd Oats ! (South Indian style )

  • Oats - half cup
  • Curd - chilled 1 cup
  • Ginger - 1/4" piece cut small
  • Green chilli- 2 cut fine (adjust to taste )
  • Curry leaves- few
  • Mustard seeds- 1 tspn
  • Split urad dal- 1 tspn
  • Carrot- 1 grated (for garnish )
  • Oil- 1 tspn
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for cooking oats

How to make Curd Oats ! (South Indian style )

  1. Take a bowl and put water in it... Then add oats, mix well and then cook it.... Keep aside....
  2. Now take a small tadka pan put oil and heat it, when hot add mustard seeds and after it splutters, put the split urad dal... after it turns brown...
  3. Add the chopped ginger, green chillies and curry leaves. Saute well for a few mins. Turn off the gas...
  4. Now add the curd to the cooked oats .....put salt and add the fried tadka over the oats.
  5. Garnish with grated carrots and serve immediately :blush:
