Aalu Bhukhare Ka Sharbat / Red Plum Sharbat

Ingredients to make Aalu Bhukhare Ka Sharbat / Red Plum Sharbat

  • 5 red plums/ aalu bhukhara
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 2 glass water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp fennel powder
  • To serve: 2 trays of crushed ice, 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, 1 and 1/2 glass water

How to make Aalu Bhukhare Ka Sharbat / Red Plum Sharbat

  1. In a deep vessel put together plums, sugar, water, fennel seeds and salt.
  2. Cook on the medium flame for 10 minutes. Stirring from time to time.
  3. With the back of spoon crush and remove plum seed. Crush till mushy, cool
  4. To serve : For individual serving add 1/3 of the plum concoction with crushed ice, 1/4 glass water and sprinkle some fennel seeds. Or for whole serving mix all together.

My Tip:

Prepared Plum concoctions can be kept in fridge for about a month in airtight glass bottle. Honey can be substituted with sugar. Don't add honey while cooking plum. When the entire cooking is done & mixture has cooled off then add honey.
