Moong and Oats Dahi vada in Appe pan

Ingredients to make Moong and Oats Dahi vada in Appe pan

  • Whole moong 1 cup (soaked overnight)
  • Oats 1/2 cup
  • Semolina 1/8cup
  • Ginger 1tsp
  • Greenchilli 1tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Curd 1 cup
  • Buttermilk& water 1 cup each.

How to make Moong and Oats Dahi vada in Appe pan

  1. Make a fine paste of moong.
  2. Add green chilli, semolina, ginger, Mix and keep.
  3. After 15min add oats, salt and mix well.
  4. Make appe/vada out of these in appe pan.
  5. Soak this appe in buttermilk for half an hour.
  6. Press and remove it.
  7. Now do plating
  8. Keep two vadas
  9. Whisk curd and add sugar(optional).
  10. Add green chutney and tamarind chutney
  11. Sprinkle red chilli powder, cumin powder and chopped coriander
My Tip: You can add chopped or ground veggies to vada batter.
