Oats Kidney Bean Salad

Ingredients to make Oats Kidney Bean Salad

  • Kidney beans (rajma) 1 cup
  • Instant oats 1 cup
  • Finely chopped tomato 2 tbsp
  • Finely chopped spring onion 1 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves 2tsp
  • Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Chaat masala 2 tsp
  • Rock Salt as required
  • Roasted cumin powder 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp or as required
  • Pomegranate pearls 1 tbsp

How to make Oats Kidney Bean Salad

  1. Soak kidney beans in water for 10 hours and cook them in a cooker by adding salt and enough water for 5-6 whistle.
  2. Let them cool down in a cooker and later remove it from a cooker.
  3. In a pan dry roast oats on a medium flame for 3-4 mins and keep aside to cool.
  4. In a large bowl combine all ingredients tomatoes, spring onion, coriander leaves, pomegranate pearls, oats, kidney beans and mix well.
  5. Now add spices red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, rock salt, chaat masala and mix well.
  6. Now sprinkle lemon juice and serve immediately.
My Tip: You can add or delete vegetable as per your choice. And you can also use tinned beans. Do not over cook kidney beans.
