Ingredients to make Rose Samosa

  • All purpose flour- 1 bowl
  • Semolina - 2tablespoons
  • oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Potatoes - 4-5 boiled n mashed
  • Green chilli, ginger, garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Peas - 1 handful
  • Coriander leaves - 1 handful
  • Cumin seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Red chilly powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Mango powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon

How to make Rose Samosa

  1. In a mixing bowl add all purpose flour, semolina. salt and 2 tablespoons of oil, knead a tight dough with water and keep aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, add asafoetida and cumin seeds and splutter them. Add green chilly ginger garlic paste and saute them fr a minute. Add green peas and saute till they soften.
  3. Add boiled and mashed potato, Red chilly powder, Salt, mango powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and coriander leaves. Saute them for a minute and switch off the flame and let it cool.
  4. Make equal size peda with dough and roll them with rolling pin and make 4 small size pooris. Place like according to given picture.
  5. Place the potato masala.
  6. Now close the poories from the edges,
  7. Now roll it
  8. Rose shape is ready
  9. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the rose samosa till brown n crisp. Serve with ketchup or chutney.
