Ingredients to make Instant Fresh Turmeric Pickle

  • 100 grams Raw Turmeric
  • 1 inch piece of ginger
  • 2 green chilies
  • Juice of 2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon jaggery powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Salt to taste

How to make Instant Fresh Turmeric Pickle

  1. Rinse the ginger and turmeric roots in water. Peel them and chop them in julienne.
  2. Finely chop the green chilies. Squeeze out juice from lemon.
  3. Grind the mustard seeds to a coarse powder and keep aside.
  4. In a glass or non reactive bowl place all the ingredients ( turmeric, ginger, green chilies, mustard powder, salt, lemon juice and oil ) . Toss well.
  5. Appetizing instant fresh turmeric pickle is ready to serve. Store in a clean dry glass bottle and refrigerate until use.

My Tip:

You may grate the fresh turmeric and ginger in this pickle to save time of chopping them.
