Ingredients to make Cuppies with surprise gulab jamuns.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 10-12 gulab jamuns

How to make Cuppies with surprise gulab jamuns.

  1. Cream the oil, sugar and eggs, together using an electric beater till it is light, fluffy and pale yellow in colour. (For egg-less use 4 tbsp hung curd or 1/2 tin milkmaid and adjust the sugar accordingly)
  2. Next add in vanilla essence and beat it for 10-15 seconds.
  3. Sieve the flour, baking powder and baking soda 2-3 times, then fold it in the wet mixture using a flexible spatula till it is smooth.
  4. Pour this batter into a piping bag. Take a cup cake baking tray and line it with cup cake liners.
  5. Fill 1/3rd of batter in each cup, place one gulab jamun and cover the gulab jamun completely with more batter. Repeat this process for the rest of the cups.
  6. Bake at 180 degree celsius for 20-25 minutes. (remember to preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 10-15 mins)
  7. Once cooked, let them cool and serve warm.
My Tip: You can also use any dry sweet inside the cuppies like bondi ladoo/coconut ladoo or any other dry sweet.
