ABOUT Rice Kheer RECIPE

A famous Punjabi sweet dish made with rice, milk and dry fruits. Very delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Rice - 1/2 cup
  2. Full fat milk -4 kilogram
  3. Sugar- 1 and half cup
  4. Dry fruits of own choice

Instructions

  1. Soak rice for an hour before making kheer.
  2. Now take a heavy bottomed pan and put the milk in it.
  3. Let it boil on a full flame.
  4. When it start boiling reduce the flame and add soaked rice in it.
  5. Keep stirring it continuously initially for at least half hour so that rice does not get stuck at the bottom.
  6. After that then let it simmer until the milk is reduced to less than one half. Keep stirring in between.
  7. When the colour of the milk turns to light orange then the kheer is done. It almost took 3 and half hour to cook perfectly.
  8. Add the pistachios, almonds, raisins, cashews in it.
  9. The perfect kheer is ready to serve. Enjoy it either hot or chilled with malpuas or missi roti.
  10. The yum yum yummy kheer is ready.
