Ingredients to make BREAKFAST RICE CEREAL WITH FRUITS AND RAISINS

  • Basmati Rice - 200 grams or 1 cup (as per US ratio). (Rinsed twice and soaked for 20 minutes and boiled).
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Green apples - 1 - diced small
  • Fresh Pineapple slices -2
  • Banana - 1 small diced
  • Raisins - 1/3 cup
  • Maple syrup - 1/4 cup or as per requirement
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Strawberry cornflakes or cornflakes of your choice - 1 cup.
  • Salt - to taste

How to make BREAKFAST RICE CEREAL WITH FRUITS AND RAISINS

  1. Heat milk and water in a cooking vessel.
  2. Add the diced fruits, raisins and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Now add the maple syrup, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder. Add the boiled Basmati Rice and salt to taste.
  3. Keep stirring till the mixture begins to thicken on slow heat.
  4. In a bowl, take a spoonful of this mixture, add the strawberry cornflakes, some more fruit, raisins or maple syrup, as per your requirement.
  5. Serve hot.
  6. Garnish with almonds or cashews.
