We all love mango pickles so why not make some whole mango pickles at home, follow this easy recipe to make this in your kitchen.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Desi mango raw small size 1kg
  2. mustard oil 50 ml
  3. Khadi lal mirch 50gm
  4. Crushed black pepper 1tbsp
  5. Musturd seeds 100gm
  6. Black salt 1/2 tbsp
  7. Cumin seeds 20 gm
  8. Fennel seeds 20 gm
  9. Asafoetida 1/4 Tsp
  10. Turmeric powder 1tsp
  11. Salt 100 gm

Instructions

  1. First wash and dry Desi mangoes with a cloth.
  2. Cut the corner(todh) of all the mangoes with a sharp knife.
  3. Now +sign cut is made in all mangoes taking care that mango remains intact.
  4. Seed is also cut with mangoes which is later taken out.
  5. In a pan roast red chilli after cutting into 2-3pieces.roast all the other spices and saboot masala/masala too a little.add salt in it..take it out .
  6. Heat mustard oil . Cool it little and add to the masala mix.and mix it evenly.
  7. Fill the masala mix in the mangoes.
  8. Keep in in glass container.
  9. The most important step is now .after we add salt the pickle leaves water so we have to carefully take the water out from the glass container.this we have to perform twice or thrice.then the pickle will have no water.
  10. Now the pickle is ready and can be eaten throughout the year.
