Perfect sesame buns which are eggless and great for any kind of burger patty!

Eggless Burger buns- Basic recipe

Ingredients to make Eggless Burger buns- Basic recipe

  • Plain flour- 400gms
  • Fresh yeast- 1 1/2tsp
  • sugar- 2 tsp
  • Melted butter/Oil- 2 tbsp
  • salt- 1 tsp
  • Milk/water- 3/4 cup
  • sesame seeds for sprinkling over
  • Additional butter for brushing over

How to make Eggless Burger buns- Basic recipe

  1. Heat milk/water in a pan till lukewarm.
  2. Add sugar and stir briefly to dissolve.
  3. Now add fresh yeast and leave for 15 minutes till yeast is frothy.
  4. Take flour in a large bowl, make a well and add salt and oil/melted butter to it.
  5. Now add the yeast mixture and knead to a soft dough.
  6. Transfer to an oiled bowl, cover with cling film and leave till doubled in bulk(1 hour).
  7. Punch down dough and divide into 6 parts. Round up each part into slightly flattened balls and place on large greased pans, sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each bun.Leave to rise again for 1 hour.
  8. Buns will double in size.Preheat oven 15 minutes before at 180 deg. C .Place pans in oven and bake for 15-20 minutes till well risen and golden.
  9. Brush with extra butter, cover and let cool. Slice in half, toast lightly and use as desired.

My Tip:

Serve freshly baked buns with soup/keema matar/any veggie of choice!

I have got a small bread loaf tin for baking...so, planning to use 200 GMs maids instead of 400 gms...so, pls mention da amount of yeast needed to raise it...thank u in advance
