My Mother In law's Recipe for a Quick Hunger Pang

Hung Curd Sandwich

Ingredients to make Hung Curd Sandwich

  • Hung curd- 1 cup
  • coconut-grated
  • Fresh coriander-1/2 bunch
  • Whole wheat/Brown Bread slices- 8
  • Brown mustard seeds- 1 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • ginger-1 inch
  • Green chilli- 2-3
  • oil-1 tbsp

How to make Hung Curd Sandwich

  1. Firstly grind Coconut ,coriander leaves along with ginger in a mixer churn it roughly
  2. Take a mixing Bowl & add the above mixture along with hung curd & salt and make the batter little thick for good consistency.
  3. Mix them all together and keep aside
  4. Take a Wok, put 1 tsp oil and add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, let it splutter and then put 1 slice of Bread and then the batter
  5. After applying the batter on Bread, put another slice of Bread and apply little oil/ ghee and let it roast
  6. Once it is done, flip to other side
  7. Now, serve it with Coriander chutney/ Sauce decorated with Mint

My Tip:

You can keep Grinded Coconut, Ginger & Coriander for more than a month in the freezer for faster access. You can also use normal thick curd.
