ABOUT AUTHANTIC PAN HANDVO RECIPE

Although handvo flour available in market also bt should experience original taste at home. this is savoury pan cakes. Grated bottle gaurd is very critical ingredient in this recipe which make it very soft inside and crisp outside.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For batter
  2. 1 cup urad dal
  3. 3 cup broken rice
  4. 1 tsp methi dana
  5. 1 tsp salt
  6. for hanvo batter
  7. 1/2 kg grated lokky
  8. 2 finely chopped bellpaper
  9. 1/4tsp haldi
  10. 1 tsp sugar
  11. 1 tsp red chilli pwdr
  12. 1 chopped chilli
  13. 2 tbsp dahi
  14. 1/2 tsp eno
  15. TADKA... 2 tsp oil
  16. 1 tsp rai
  17. 1 tsp sesame seeds
  18. 5-8 chopped kadi patta
  19. chopped adruk

Instructions

  1. saok tha dal n chaval n methi dana for 5 - 6 hours. then grind it in smooth paste n add salt n mix it. now keep it in warm place for 5-6 hours for fermentation
  2. after fermentation we add all ingredients of hanvo batter except eno n mix well. now we make a tadka for it.
  3. in a pan heat oil add all ingredients of tadka n this tdka pour into the batter n mix nicely
  4. whenever we want make handvo then mix eno
  5. heat 1/2 tsp oil n add rai and sesame seeds, pour 2 tbsp of batter on it n cook for 3-4 minutes then flip the handvo so another side also cook n crisp. enjoy hot with any chutney.
