Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 11/4 cup Multigrain Oats (preferred)
  2. 1/2 cup Broccoli Florets lightly packed
  3. 1/4 cup soya granules
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 4-5 finely chopped curry leaves
  6. 1 small onion chopped
  7. 3 green chilles chopped
  8. 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  9. Pinch of turmeric
  10. 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  11. 1/2 tsp minced ginger
  12. Olive or Canola oil

Instructions

  1. Chop broccoli finely and keep it aside
  2. Dry Roast oats and grind to flour. You can use ready-made oats flour too. I used Multigrain oats to make it more nutritious
  3. Boil soya in 1 cup water with pinch of salt for 3 minutes. Drain excess water. Run soya under cold water for 2times, squeeze and dry. Keep it aside
  4. In a pan heat little oil, add ginger garlic, green chillies and saute until raw aroma goes off. add onion and curry leaves, saute until onion is translucent. Add cumin, salt and turmeric . Mix well
  5. Add soya and broccoli. Saute for 2 minutes, switch off. add this to oats flour. Mix well. Add pinch of salt if required. Add little lukewarm water. Knead a dough. Do not make it watery
  6. Boil water in Idli cooker. Slightly grease Idli pan. Make small oats balls, slightly flatten it and place it in Idli pan. Do this until dough is completed. Steam on medium flame for 10 -13 minutes. Serve hot with Sambar or chutney
