ABOUT DAL JO PHULKO ( Sindhi Moong Dal Paratha) RECIPE

This is a Sindhi style stuffed paratha made with moong dal stuffing.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Churi/moong daal ..... 1 cup cooked
  2. Cumin powder .. 1 tsp
  3. Coriander powder .. 1 tsp
  4. Red chilli powder .... 1/2 tsp
  5. Mango powder/amchoor .. 1/4 tsp
  6. Coriander leaves ............ handful - finely chopped.
  7. Churi dal already has salt ..so no need to add it.
  8. Whole wheat flour ... about 2 cups
  9. Oil or ghee

Instructions

  1. Cook the soaked moong dal by sprinkling little water. Keep it grainy. Add the spice powders and coriander leaves.
  2. Knead the dough for parathas adding a little oil and salt. Roll out a small portion and spoon some dal mixture.
  3. Roast the parathas on a tawa brushing a little ghee or oil. Serve with curd and pickle.
