ABOUT Banana Tiramisu RECIPE

Tiramisu is a popular coffee-flavored Italian dessert. It is made of lady’s fingers biscuits dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Vanilla sponge cake 250 gms( i have used cake instead of ladyfinger biscuits)
  2. Mascarpone cheese 1 box 150 gms
  3. Egg yolks 2
  4. Whipping cream 100 gms
  5. Sugar to taste almost 3 tbsp
  6. Milk 1/4 cup
  7. Bananas pureed 2
  8. Rum 2 spoons
  9. Coffee powder 2 tbsp
  10. Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  11. Unsweetened cocoa powder to dust

Instructions

  1. First brew 1 glass coffee. Keep it aside. Add 2 spoons Rum to it. Add sugar to taste almost 2 spoons. Take 2 egg yolks with 4-5 spoons of milk. Add 1 spoon sugar. Warm it in microwave for few seconds. Keep aside to cool.
  2. Now in a bowl take banana puree. Add whipping cream to it. Add vanilla essence and mascarpone cheese. Beat all together. Mix egg yolks with milk into this. Fold nicely with spatula.
  3. Now assemble the layers :Layer sponge cake at the base of glass dish(Cut cake into long slices like ladyfinger biscuits) Pour coffee and rum mixture on to cake with spoon all over. Let it soak.
  4. Now pour mascarpone cheese+eggs+banana mix. Again arrange cake slices. Pour coffee rum mixture. Pour Mascarpone cheese mixture over it.
  5. Repeat the layers till it's over. Freeze it for at least 4-5 hours.
  6. Take out and dust cocoa powder over it. Cut in to pieces.
