Ingredients to make PESARA PODI - moong dal powder

  • Moong Dal (pesara pappu) - 1/2 kg
  • Jeera - 50 gm
  • Dry Red Chilly - 15
  • Curry Leaves - 5 sprigs
  • Hing - 1 tsp

How to make PESARA PODI - moong dal powder

  1. In a kadai or heavy bottomed vessel, roast all the ingredients separately.
  2. Blend to a powder in a wide mouthed mixer jar.
  3. Add salt. After cooling, store in an airtight container.

My Tip:

For making podis at home, a heavy wattage mixer plus wide mouthed mixer jar makes it an easy job.
