Sprouted Samosa

Ingredients to make Sprouted Samosa

  • For dough-
  • 1/3 cup beetroot and three colour capsicum
  • 1 green onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup sweet corn
  • 1/4 cup chopped cabbage
  • 2 cups maida
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp ajwain
  • 1 tsp kalongi
  • Salt to taste
  • For stuffing
  • 1 cup green moong sprouts
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • Oil for deep frying

How to make Sprouted Samosa

  1. Add kalonji, ajwain,oil( 1 n 1/2 tbsp) n salt to maida and mix well.
  2. Now add little by little water to make a tight dough.
  3. Now mix rest of the oil and knead into a tight smooth dough.
  4. Rest the dough for 15 min.
  5. In between start preparation for stuffing...
  6. Heat oil, add cumin seeds.
  7. When seeds start to crackle add all veggies and mix well.
  8. Now add sprouts and all spices, saute for 1 min, its done.
  9. Let stuffing cool.
  10. Now take a small portion of dough and make a dumpling, roll it as oval shape.
  11. Cut into two halves horizonrally, make a cone shape by applying water around circular part and fill 2 tsp of stuffing and fold it from one side.
  12. Apply little water on the edges and fix it .
  13. Heat the oil ,fry samosas on low to medium heat .
  14. Hot n healthy “Samosa” is ready to serve...
My Tip: Dough should be little tighter than poori dough...and when you put samosa in oil it should be in low temperature otherwise bubbles come on the cover part.
