Ingredients to make Masala fried fish

  • Ingredients for Grinding-onion - 1
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • cinnamon - small stick
  • cloves - 3 to 4
  • coriander seeds - 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper corns - 1/2 tsp
  • fennel seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • To marinate Fish (King fish / Vanjaram Meen) - 4 to 5 pieces
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • salt - as per taste
  • oil for frying

How to make Masala fried fish

  1. Grind the Onion,Ginger garlic paste,Cinnamon,Cloves,Coriander seeds,Cumin seeds,Black pepper corns,Fennel Seeds to form a smooth fine paste.and keep aside.
  2. Wash the fish pieces and add Turmeric powder, Red chilly powder, Lemon juice, Salt - as per taste and let it rest for 30minutes.
  3. Now add ground paste thoroughly on marinated fish pieces and coat well.Let them rest for 30 min.
  4. In a Pan, add oil and when hot add the fish pieces and start frying on both the sides.
  5. When they turn brown colour and fried nicesly, repeat the process of frying with other fishes and serve hot.
  6. Yummy masala fried fish is ready to serve...

My Tip:

Bread crumbs may also be added to ground masala....it will make it more crispy.
