Fresh Chickpea and Cottage Cheese Vegetable (Hare Channe aur Paneer ki sabji)

Ingredients to make Fresh Chickpea and Cottage Cheese Vegetable (Hare Channe aur Paneer ki sabji)

  • green gram (choliya) 250 gms
  • paneer 150 gms
  • salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped tomato 1 cup
  • Chopped onion 1 tbsp
  • Chopped ginger 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves chopped 1 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp

How to make Fresh Chickpea and Cottage Cheese Vegetable (Hare Channe aur Paneer ki sabji)

  1. Cut the cottage cheese in pieces and wash the choliya and boil them for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan, pop the cumin, saute the ginger, garlic, onion and fry till golden.
  3. Add turmeric, coriander powder, chili powder and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add tomatoes, mix well and cook the spices till the oil separates.
  4. Add salt, boiled choliya, paneer, mix and add 1 cup water. Cover and cook for 5 to 8 minutes for the choliya to become soft.
  5. Garnish with coriander and serve with paratha or chapati.

My Tip:

Add some lemon juice for better taste.
