Ingredients to make Jackfruit unni appam

  • Jackfruit (well riped) 1 cup
  • wheat flour 1/2 cup
  • Raw rice flour 1/2 cup
  • jaggery syrup 1/2 cup
  • cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  • Dry ginger powder 1 teaspoon
  • coconut chops 1/4 cup
  • oil for frying

How to make Jackfruit unni appam

  1. In a pan çook jackfruit ( with out water ) in low flame with lid till it's half cooked
  2. Cool it and grind it coarsely
  3. Add wheat flour , rice flour and jaggery syrup to the jackfruit
  4. Add cardamom powder and dry ginger powder
  5. Add coconut chops and mix well
  6. In the unniappa kadai or normal kadai pour oil and fry it in low flame. ( Else it will burn and will not cook inside)

My Tip:

Cook in low flame only
