Ingredients to make Kadhai chicken (southern style)

  • Chicken - 500 gms
  • Chopped onion - 2
  • Chopped tomatoes - 2
  • Curry leaves - 10-15
  • Slit green chillies - 2
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Red Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  • Refined oil
  • Orange Red color - 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Salt

How to make Kadhai chicken (southern style)

  1. 1. Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, salt, coriander powder, red chilly powder, orange red color for 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a kadhai, add the chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
  3. 3. Add the marinated chicken and cook on a low flame.
  4. 4. Add the curry leaves , slit green chillies and tomatoes and cook till done.
