Ingredients to make Coconut fish curry

  • Red snapper fish-300 gm(6pieces)
  • Sesame or coconut oil -3-4 tbsp
  • Mustard, fenugreek,urad dal-each 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves- 1 arc
  • garlic cloves crushed -6
  • Green chilli-2
  • Big onion chopped -1
  • Big tomato chopped-1
  • Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
  • Fish masala powder-2 tbsp
  • tamarind soaked - lemon size
  • salt - to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves -1 tbsp
  • coconut paste-3 tbsp.

How to make Coconut fish curry

  1. KEEP ALL THE INGREDIENTS READY.
  2. HEAT 3-4 TBSP SESAME OR COCONUT OIL IN A MANSATTI.ADD EACH 1/2 TSP MUSTARD,FENUGREEK AND URAD DAL.
  3. THEN ADD THESE INGREDIENTS ONE BY ONE.
  4. WHEN MUSTARD START POPS ADD CURRY LEAVES,6 CRUSHED GARLIC CLOVES,2 GREENCHILLIES,ONE ONION CHOPPED.
  5. SAUTE WELL.
  6. ADD ONE BIG SLICED TOMATO.ADD SALT.
  7. CLOSE AND COOK FOR 1-2 MINUTES.
  8. OPEN AND ADD 1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER AND 2 TBSP FISH MASALA.MIX IT.
  9. ADD LEMON SIZE TAMARIND SOAKED AND DRAINED SOLUTION.
  10. ADD ONE MORE CUP WATER AND SALT TO TASTE.BRING TO BOIL FOR 5 MINUTES.
  11. WHEN OIL ON TOP,ADD 6 FISH PIECES.
  12. ALLOW TO COOK FOR 5 MINUTES.
  13. ADD 3 TBSP COCONUT PASTE.MIX WELL.
  14. ADJUST THICKNESS,ADD 1 CUP WATER,LET IT BOIL FOR 2 MINUTES.FINALLY ADD CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES.
  15. NOW COCONUT FISH CURRY READY.
  16. LOOKS DELICIOUS.
