Mustard cream sauce

Ingredients to make Mustard cream sauce

  • Flour 1 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Fresh cream - 1/2 cup
  • Dijon mustard - 1 and 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated nutmeg 1/2 tsp

How to make Mustard cream sauce

  1. Heat the butter in a saucepan till its melted. Add the flour and whisk till smooth.
  2. Add the milk and keep whisking vigorously making sure there's no lumps, then reduce the heat to low, add the cream and let it cook for 2-3 mins.
  3. Remove from heat, add the mustard and whisk. Add salt and pepper, stir and adjust taste accordingly.
  4. Serve as desired.
My Tip: Optional: Add a splash of wine to the sauce.
