This powder is perfect when you have a cold or cough.

Dry Ginger Powder/Sonti podi

Ingredients to make Dry Ginger Powder/Sonti podi

  • 50 gms Dry ginger/ Sonti
  • 2 tbsp chana dal/Senaga pappu
  • 2 tbsp Toor dal/Kandi pappu
  • 2 tsp Moong dal/Pesara pappu
  • 2 tbsp coriander seeds/Dhaniyalu
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Black pepper whole
  • 1 tbsp Ajwain/ Omu
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds/Jeera
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • salt as per taste

How to make Dry Ginger Powder/Sonti podi

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and fry all the ingredients one by one except the salt. Then let it cool.
  2. Transfer it to the mixer jar and add salt. Make it as fine powder. Store it in an airtight container.
  3. Mix this powder with hot rice and ghee while eating.

My Tip:

It is very useful for digestion and in winter seasons.
