About Vermecili Idli Recipe

Semolina idli steamed with vermecili corriander and nuts

Vermecili Idli

Ingredients to make Vermecili Idli

  • 1/2 semolina
  • 1/2 vermecili
  • Few corriander leaves
  • Few cashew nuts
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped
  • 1/4 spoon soda/ baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cup water

How to make Vermecili Idli

  1. Heat a pan roast semolina till pink
  2. Roast vermecili as well
  3. Mix all ingredients in a bowl
  4. Leave mixture for ten minutes
  5. Now put mixture in idli maker and steam it for 10-15 min
  6. Serve hot idli upside down with chutney
