Creamy cooked rice payasam

Ingredients to make Creamy cooked rice payasam

  • Cooked rice or steamed rice - 1 cup
  • ghee - 2 tsp
  • cashew and Dry grapes - Few
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • sugar - 3/4 cup
  • cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • salt - a Pinch
  • vanilla essence - 2 drops (optional)

How to make Creamy cooked rice payasam

  1. Add 2 tsp of ghee to the pan and roast cashews & dry grapes. Transfer it into a plate
  2. Take 1 cup of cooked rice in a mixer jar, add 1/2 cup of milk and grind into a smooth paste
  3. To the same pan add one and half cup of milk and allow it to boil
  4. When milk starts to boil add cooked rice paste and mix well
  5. Add sugar and mix well.
  6. Add cardamom powder, a pinch of salt . Mix well
  7. Add roasted cashews & dry grapes.
  8. Now its become creamy. Finally if u want add 2 drops of vanilla essence. Switch off the flame and garnish it with chopped dry fruits of your choice.

My Tip:

You can avoid using sugar and replace it with palm jaggery or normal jaggery
