Ingredients to make Msharashtrian varan/ dal

  • 2 cup Boiled toor dal
  • 1/2 tomato chopped
  • 2 Tsp garlic chooped
  • 2 green chillies
  • coriander leaves
  • 1/4 turmeric powder
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 Tsp cumin seed
  • 1 Tsp mustard seed
  • 3 tsp oil

How to make Msharashtrian varan/ dal

  1. WASH TOOR DAL IN WATER
  2. BOIL THE TOOD DAL UN PRESSURE COOKER IN GIVE 3-4 WHISTLES
  3. HEAT OIL IN PAN ADD MUSTARD SEEDS, CUMIN SEED HING
  4. ADD GREEN CHILLI , CURRY LEAVES AND SAUTE TILL
  5. ADD BOILED DAL MIX WELL
  6. ADD WATER AND CHOPPED TOMATO
  7. ADD SALT A REQUIRD
  8. JUST BOILED DAL 2-4 MIN
  9. GARNISHING TO CORIANDER LEAVES
  10. SERVE WITH STEMING HOT RICE
