Apple Cinnamon Buckwheat Halwa

Ingredients to make Apple Cinnamon Buckwheat Halwa

  • 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
  • 3 tbsp Rajghira flour
  • 1 small apple peeled cored and cubed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 8-10 cashews
  • 1 tbsp chopped almonds for garnish

How to make Apple Cinnamon Buckwheat Halwa

  1. Fry cashews in 1 tbsp ghee, keep it aside
  2. Add cinnamon and apple to water, cook until apples are tender. Keep it aside
  3. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan, roast flours until aromatic. Add apple with water to flour. Add milk and mix everything well. On High heat cook until it starts thickening. Add sugar, cardamom and remaining ghee. Stir continuously until halwa starts leaving sides. Add fried cashews. Mix well. Allow to cool slightly
  4. Garnish with almonds and serve warm
