Ingredients to make Fish in green masala gravy

  • Fish pieces 6
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • cumin Powder 1/2 Tsp
  • Tumeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • For green paste:
  • coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • mint leaves 1/2 cup
  • Parsely leaves 1/4 cup
  • Green chilli 4_5
  • ginger 1 inch chopped
  • garlic 3 pods chopped
  • onion 1 chopped
  • Fresh grated coconut 2 tbsp
  • tamarind lemon size ball
  • water 2 tsp to make paste

How to make Fish in green masala gravy

  1. INGREDIENTS TO MAKE GREEN MASALA
  2. PUT 1/2 CUP CORIANDER ,1/2 CUP MINT,1/3 CUP PARSELY LEAVES ,1 CHOPPED ONION ,GRATED COCONUT 2 TBSP
  3. ADD 3 CHOPPED GARLIC PODS, GINGER 1 INCHSIZE CHOPPED, LEMON SIZE TAMARIND AND 4_5 GREEN CHILLIES
  4. ADD LITTLE WATER ALSO.CLOSE LID AND GRIND TO A SMOOTH PASTE
  5. GREEN PASTE IS READY
  6. WASH FISH PIECES AND RUB WITH 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER AND SALT
  7. KEEP THEM ASIDE FOR 15_20 MINUTES
  8. SPICES POWDER FOR GRAVY ,1 TSP CORIANDER,1/2 TSP CUMIN , TURMERIC 1/4 TSP, GARAM MASALA 1/2 TSP,SALT
  9. HEAT A PAN , ADD 2 TBSP OIL
  10. ADD MARINATED FISH PIECES CAREFULLY , SHALLOW FRY IN MEDIUM TO HIGH HEAT FOR 2_3 MINUTES
  11. TURN THEM AND FRY FOR 2 MINUTES IN HIGH HEAT
  12. WHEN THEY TURN SLIGHTLY RED SWITCH OFF GAS
  13. HEAT THE SAME PAN ADD 2 TBSP OIL
  14. ADD 1 TSP CORIANDER POWDER,1/2 TSP CUMIN POWDER ,1/4 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  15. ADD SALT AS PER YOUR TASTE , ALSO ADD 2 TSP WATER
  16. SAUTE FOR 30 SECONDS IN LOW HEAT , ADD GREEN PASTE. MIX WELL WITH THE SPICES
  17. ADD 1 CUP WATER , BOIL GRAVY IN HIGH HEAT FOR 3_4 MINS
  18. ADD FRIED FISH PIECES
  19. BOIL THE FISH IN GRAVY FOR 5_7 MINS IN LOW HEAT WITH THE LID ON IT
  20. WHEN GRAVY TURNS THICK ADD 1/2 TSP SUGAR
  21. ADD 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA , SWITCH OFF GAS , NOW THIS DISH IS READY TO SERVE
