Ingredients to make Barely Kheer

  • 1/2 cup Barely
  • 1.25 liter Milk
  • 1 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup shredded dates
  • Few Nuts (optional)

How to make Barely Kheer

  1. Soak barley in water for 2 hours. Then drain and add in a pan.
  2. Add milk, boil for 25 minutes on a low flame for 25 minutes.
  3. Add honey, shredded dates and nuts if using.
  4. Boil for 25 minutes more.
  5. Serve hot or chilled.
