Pasande (Beef fillets)

Ingredients to make Pasande (Beef fillets)

  • 1/2 kg beef fillets
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder, roasted
  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 and 1/2 garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp gram flour, roasted
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 onion medium sliced
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 3-4 green cardamoms
  • 4-5 black peppers
  • 1 tbsp green coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp mint leaves, chopped
  • 2 green chillies

How to make Pasande (Beef fillets)

  1. In a bowl, take the beef fillet, add all the powdered spices, gram flour, yoghurt, lemon juice and salt. Mix them well. Keep it for atleast 3-4 hours for marination.
  2. Heat oil in a wok, add the sliced onions and fry till it is golden brown. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon, black cardamom, green cardamoms, black pepper.
  3. Add the marinated fillets, 1/2 cup of water and let it cook till it is very much tender.
  4. Transfer it in a platter and sprinkle the chopped coriander, chopped green chillies and chopped mint on top to serve.
