Fail-Proof Creamy Garlic Hummus

Ingredients to make Fail-Proof Creamy Garlic Hummus

  • 2 cups Chickpeas (boiled till tender)
  • 1/4th cup + 2 tbsps Tahini Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil
  • 5-6 tbsps Yogurt
  • 8-10 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Salt to taste

How to make Fail-Proof Creamy Garlic Hummus

  1. Mix Chickpeas, tahini, garlic, salt, half of olive oil & yogurt in a food processor or grinder & grind till smooth paste.
  2. Depending on the quality of your food processor, adjust the consistency of the hummus with the remaining yogurt & olive oil.
  3. It needs to be a smooth paste & it will take time so do not panic if you think the texture is too coarse.
  4. You may keep your hummus slightly coarse depending on your palette but not too coarse as it is supposed to be a smooth dip.
  5. Sprinkle with either sumac powder, roasted cumin powder, zataar powder or paprika powder, dried garlic granules & slices of olives.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil & serve chilled.
My Tip: This taste better when refrigerated overnight. You can make different variations of hummus like Pesto Hummus, Harissa Hummus, etc using this as the base recipe
