Amritsari fish with cheesy dip

Ingredients to make Amritsari fish with cheesy dip

  • 500 gm Surmai Fish
  • 1/2 cup besan
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • Lime juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp ajwain
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Mustard Oil for Deep Frying
  • FOR GARNISH
  • Chat masala
  • For dip
  • 1 cup hung curd
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp mayonnaise

How to make Amritsari fish with cheesy dip

  1. Wash and clean fish.
  2. Add lime juice and salt. Keep aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste, ajwain and mix softly.
  4. Add egg and mix softly.
  5. Add besan ( till all egg gets absorbed). Keep aside for 5 minutes.
  6. Fry it in a hot mustard oil on a high flame.
  7. Sprinkle chat masala and serve hot with dip and onion rings.
  8. For dip take hung curd add black pepper, salt, oregano, mayonnaise. ( Make this dip 5-10 minutes before serving).

My Tip:

Take surmai fish and do not marinate for too long.
