Small brinjals with regular spices is common to hear but the taste is different if cooked as this recipe.

Ingredients to make Masala brinjals

  • Small brinjals 500 g
  • turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  • red chilly powder 1 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • tomatoes 2 medium sized
  • green chilly 2 no.
  • mustard oil 2 tablespoon
  • cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon

How to make Masala brinjals

  1. TAKE SMALL SIZED BRINJALS AND WASH THEM.
  2. CUT IT LIKE X MARK SO THAT THEY GET ATTACHED.
  3. GRIND CHOPPED TOMATOES AND GREEN CHILLY INTO PUREE
  4. HEAT OIL IN A WOK AND ADD IN CUMIN SEEDS.
  5. ADD IN TOMATO PUREE. MIX WELL
  6. ADD IN ALL SPICES.
  7. MIX IT WELL.AND COOK ON LOW FLAME.
  8. WHEN IT BEGAN TO LEAVE OIL,ADD IN BRINJALS.
  9. ADD LITTLE WATER AND MIX WELL.
  10. COOK IT COVERED ON LOW FLAME.STIR IN BETWEEN.
  11. CHECK IF THE BRINJALS ARE COOKED.OFF THE FLAME.
