Tofu Gujiya

Ingredients to make Tofu Gujiya

  • For dough : maida 1 cup
  • sesame seeds 1/4 tbsp
  • salt as per taste
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • water as needed
  • Filling Mixture: Tofu crumbled 1/2 cup
  • corn kernels 1 1/2 tbsp
  • peas 1 1/2 tbsp
  • sugar - a pinch
  • salt according to taste
  • Roasted nuts 1 tbsp
  • oil to fry
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp

How to make Tofu Gujiya

  1. Make a dough by mixing maida, sesame seeds, oil, salt, water and make as soft dough. Keep it aside for 15 minutes covered with a wet muslin cloth.
  2. Make the mixture adding all the ingredients together.
  3. Roll out a very small dumpling from the dough with a rolling pin.
  4. Keep 1 tbsp or a little bit more of the tofu mixture in the centre and fold it in a shape of half moon. With the help of fork press it in the corners.
  5. Heat the oil and fry the gujiyas until golden brown. Make the remaining in the same way.
  6. Tasty Tofu gujiyas are ready to serve. It tastes perfect with the dates and tamarind chutney.

My Tip:

In the stuffing any thing of our choice can be added.
