Ingredients to make Danish Puff Pastry

  • Puff pastry dough preparation:
  • 100 gm unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Sweet cheese:
  • 2 tbsp cheese spread
  • 1 tsp castor sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • TOPPING:
  • Mix fruit jam with crushed peach apricot
  • 1 tbsp castor sugar to sprinkle
  • 2 tbsp melted butter to spread

How to make Danish Puff Pastry

  1. Puff pastry dough preparation:
  2. In a bowl, add all purpose flour, 70g butter and required water to make a soft dough.
  3. Now roll it and make a square by rolling.
  4. Now refrigerate it for 5-6 hours.
  5. Again roll it and spread 15 gm of grated butter on it and press gently.
  6. Fold it twice from vertical edge and again refrigerate it for 20 mins.
  7. Take it out and again roll it and spread remaining 15 gm of grated butter in it and press gently, fold twice from vertical edge and again refrigerate it for 20 mins.
  8. Take it out and again roll to make squares.
  9. Now put cut horizontal and vertical squares to make small squares from it.
  10. Make the shapes like I have made.
  11. And some sweet cheese and topping on it.
  12. Bake it for 20 mins in preheated oven at 180 degrees.
  13. Serve it with tea!
