  • ghee 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 75 gms
  • Edible Orange and Green Food Colour 3-4 drops

How to make Tri colour Sandesh (Kolkata Style)

  1. At first take the Cottage Cheese, grated Khoya and the all season flour. Mash it properly and divide it in three parts.
  2. Add orange and green food colour in two parts respectively.
  3. Take 25 gms sugar and melt it. Add a part of the mashed Cottage cheese 50 gm and elaichi powder in the semi solid syrup.
  4. Cook it on a low flame. (Same procedure have to apply for the other two colours). Make small roti like structure with these three colours.
  5. First place the orange, then white and after that green roti like structure. (Each roti like structure must overlap 50% with other). Put a rope of coloured khoya upon it.
  6. Put some ghee in hand and make a roll with the structure. Then cut it from the middle.
  7. Tricolour Sandesh is ready to serve.

My Tip:

Make tricolour sugar and decorate the platter while serving.
