Horsegram is packed with protien and it is very good for health.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/4 cup Horsegram
  2. 1/2 cup grated Coconut
  3. 2-3 Red chillis
  4. 1/4 tsp Coriander Seeds
  5. A small lemon sized tamarind
  6. 2 cloves of garlic
  7. 1/2 tsp cooking oil
  8. Salt as per u r taste
  9. Ingredients for Tempering:
  10. 2tbsp cooking oil
  11. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  12. curry leaves 6
  13. Pinch of Asafoetida

Instructions

  1. Take 1/2 tsp oil in a frying pan add in red chillies and corainder seeds fry until change colour.
  2. In the same pan,add in horse gram and start frying under medium flame.
  3. Roast until horsegram starts popping. Don't over roast it,if u do so the chutney will turn bitter.
  4. Grind grated coconut along with fried ingredients,gralic cloves,salt and tamarind using req water.
  5. Temper it with oil:curryleaves,mustard seeds n asafoetida.
