Kheema and Mix Sprouts Dahi Wada

Ingredients to make Kheema and Mix Sprouts Dahi Wada

  • Kheema 1 and 1/2 cup (300 to 350 grams)
  • Mix sprouts 150 to 200 gms (1 cup)
  • Urad daal (soaked ) 1 cup
  • curd 500 grams
  • coriander leaves 1 cup
  • ginger paste 1 tsp
  • Salt, Jeera powder, chilli powder and Sugar as per taste
  • tamarind chutney (optional)
  • oil to fry

How to make Kheema and Mix Sprouts Dahi Wada

  1. Wash and soak the urad daal in minimum water ( just a little above the daal level).
  2. Wash the kheema well and pressure cook it with very little water. Also wash the sprouts and coarse it grindly. Then coarsely grind the urad daal with minimum water.
  3. Saute the sprouts in a teaspoon of oil.
  4. Mix the urad daal with the cooked kheema and sauted sprouts in a bowl. Add the salt, grated ginger and coriander leaves. Mix it well and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  5. Blend the curd. Then add the sugar and salt.
  6. Now heat oil in a kadhai, then add 1 tbsp of hot oil into the kheema mixture.
  7. Deep fry the wadas. (As it becomes golden brown in colour, then put them in a pan one over another.)
  8. Once they are fried, pour in water and add salt. Leave it aside for 10 minutes. Just invert the pan with the lid to remove all the water.
  9. Serve in a bowl with curd. Then sprinkle jeera powder and chilli powder on top and garnish it with coriander leaves.

My Tip:

Collecting all the wadas in a covered pan helps them to soften with it's own steam. When you put them in the water and squeeze till they become little stiff from the center.
