Bhagar Dhokla

Ingredients to make Bhagar Dhokla

  • 1 bowl bhagar flour
  • 1 bowl sour curd and water as required
  • 2 spoons sugar
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 lemon
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • curry leaves 5-6
  • green chillies 2

How to make Bhagar Dhokla

  1. Mix bhagar (samo rice), curd, salt and water if needed to make a batter.
  2. Keep it aside for 5 minutes take 3 spoons oil and fruit salt add this in bhagar mixture. Mix it and set it in a dhokla maker or idli pot. For 15 minutes on low flame.
  3. In a bowl, squeeze lemon, mix sugar in it add 1 cup water.
  4. Now in a pan, add oil, when oil is hot add cumin, splutter it. Now put curry leaves, green chillies and add sugar and lemon water. Spread it on dhokla and cut into pieces.
  5. Serve it with chutney or dip of your choice.

My Tip:

Navratri special dhokla, it can be cooked for fasts.
