Sticky Habshi Halwa

Ingredients to make Sticky Habshi Halwa

  • Milk full cream 1litre
  • flour 1/4cup
  • sugar 1/2cup
  • Grated jaggery 1/2 cup
  • Desi ghee 3/4cup
  • walnuts sliced 1/4 cup
  • almonds sliced 1/4 cup
  • Citric acid 1/2 tsp
  • water 1/2 cup
  • vinegar 1 1/2tbsp
  • Liquid glucose 2 tbsp
  • elaichi powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cocoa powder 1 tbsp
  • pistachio 4 sliced
  • Greased tray

How to make Sticky Habshi Halwa

  1. Boil milk in a pan
  2. Add citric acid dissolved in water and stir in milk
  3. Turn off flame
  4. Leave covered for 5 minutes
  5. Once the milk separates then cook on high flame
  6. Add cocoa powder,elaichi powder,
  7. Cook till 1 cup of water is left
  8. Add sugar,vinegar,flour,ghee.Cook till ghee comes on top
  9. Add nuts and glucose
  10. On a greased plate transfer the halwa
  11. Sprinkle nuts on top
  12. Set for half an hour and cut in pieces

My Tip:

I prefer to add dates and alsi and watermelon seeds too
