Mutton Mince Puff Pastry Patties

Ingredients to make Mutton Mince Puff Pastry Patties

  • 2 onions finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • cumin powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • 2-3 green chillies finely chopped
  • Lots of coriander to garnish
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Puff pastry block
  • 1 tsp garlic mince
  • 300 gm lean mutton mince or chicken mince
  • An egg
  • kalonji ( black seeds ) for garnishing ( optional )

How to make Mutton Mince Puff Pastry Patties

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees C , before starting your actual cooking .
  2. In a pan with 1 tbsp of heated oil , add your mutton mince or chicken mince .
  3. Let the mince cook for a min or so before adding all of your masalas .
  4. Once done , keep it aside .
  5. Take your puff pastry and place it in a diagonal manner .
  6. Put in your filling at the center . Carefully , bring the two ends of the sheet together and pinch it down firmly .
  7. Complete doing all of those .
  8. As a final step , brush your egg wash over the puff pastries .
  9. Spread your black seeds over the egg wash for extra flavour .
  10. Bake for about 30-35 mins or until golden brown .
  11. Let them cool and enjoy .

My Tip:

Always use oil as little as possible . This is an important note to keep in mind . Puff pastries contain a lot of oil . So much so that you would probably easily gain weight by just having these on a daily basis . You can use chicken mince too. However, the procedure would remain the same.
